We’ve got the scoop right here. A big scoop of Rocky Road ice cream, but there are no rocky roads where we’re going…. We won’t need roads (sorry, had to plug in a bit of “Back to the Future” since it’s 2015!). All kidding aside, it just so happens that automotive technology is sitting front center, and for good reason — three brands have reported upcoming news of projects leading a new frontier of innovation unlike anything we’ll ever see, and trust me: this might blow your mind, especially when reading about this first brand breaking into the auto industry:
Apple: You Heard Right. The Computer Company and the Auto Industry?
Word has it Apple’s poised and ready to break into the auto industry in a big way, and we’ve got the scoop of Rocky Road ice cream right here for you. It seems lofty when you think about it, though. After all, an automobile (even a Delorean) is a far cry from an iPhone or iPad.
But trust us: Apple just might know what they’re doing based on what we’ve seen so far. The numbers don’t lie.
Of Course, General Motors Isn’t Intimidated in General
Our ol’ faithful’s stirring some kind of pot in the auto industry as well, although we’re not as sure what’s going on over at their Orion assembly plant. They’re being all mysterious about it. Something about a brand new model line they’re developing that’ll be so innovative that their own company hasn’t seen anything like it.
Sounds pretty good. Especially coming from GM. Anything that’s positive coming from GM is a good thing.
And Then There’s Lexus. And Their Hoverboard.
….What? I did mention “Back to the Future” now, didn’t I? Well, let’s just say the Japanese auto-making brand is going the way of science fiction, being imaginative, and making it actually real and not a hoax. Yes, it’s true. They’ve developed a real-life, functioning, scientific “hoverboard.” It actually works. Read about it right here.
We Can Only Expect More to Come….
That’s what’s great about the auto industry when you think about it. Technology drives the industry. It gets society interested and excited. And hopefully the revenue and profit fuels that economy into a new age. An age…. Without Biff!Share
